Sarandon’s Values

Share

In “Unmarried . . . With Children--and Values,” by Robert Scheer (Aug. 30), it seems clear that for Susan Sarandon it’s always a matter of choice--and she chooses to be a single mother with three children!

I don’t get it. She evidently thinks enough of the man in her life to choose to live with and have children by him. What is she afraid of? She appears to have a female God on her side. Aren’t these children allowed any men in their lives?

What baffles me is why you never seem to hear any complaints about this from the fathers involved.

I know children need a father and a mother if at all possible, preferably their own. I’m sure this example was what Dan Quayle was referring to in his now redundant phrase.
