* Nancy L. Iredale of Pasadena, a partner in the Los Angeles office of the law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, has received the V. Judson Klein Award from the tax section of the State Bar of California.
Named after the first chairman of the tax section, the award was established in 1978 to honor an outstanding tax attorney. Iredale graduated from Georgetown University and Yale Law School.
* Marie Lopez of West Covina, an administrative assistant for the Agricultural Commissioner/Weights and Measures, was named county employee of the month for August.
Lopez, who has worked for the county for 29 years, has been involved with Operation Super Sweep, in which volunteers clean refuse from San Gabriel Canyon.
* Frank and Anita Grand of South Pasadena will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 26 in Newport Beach.
The couple, who have lived in the San Gabriel Valley for 40 years, have three children, Gloria Grand of Newport Beach, Bob Grand of San Gabriel and Terrie Kelley of La Verne, and four grandchildren.
