Desert Storm Surplus Meals Sent to Trinidad

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad —
A shipment of 1 million military surplus meals originally meant for Operation Desert Storm troops arrived here Saturday for distribution to the poor.
The shipment, worth $500,000, from U.S. Meals Ready to Eat (MRE) stockpiles, was arranged by the American ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Sally Cowal.
