A Different Twist on Language Immersion
Hey, this language immersion idea (Times, Aug. 16) sounds pretty good! You quote a Culver City schools official as saying that language immersion is “like being dropped off . . . and having to learn how to communicate, read and listen. . . .” Any chance that foreign students arriving in local districts can take advantage of this method with English as the language of immersion, instead of bilingual education?
