Santa Monica Council’s Firing of City Attorney

It’s clear that the Santa Monicans for Renters Rights’ head machinists decided that City Atty. Robert Myers had become a political liability for SMRR council members Judy Abdo and Ken Genser, who have the nerve to run for reelection after having gotten the city into this mess. So politicians--including Abdo and Genser--who were singing Myers’ praises a month earlier gave him the hook.
Santa Monica voters--regardless of their politics--have got to be asking themselves: Do we want to be governed by people who would sell out their close friend to save their own political skins?
