* Robert G. Badal, a business litigator and managing partner of the Los Angeles office of Philadelphia-based Pepper, Hamilton & Scheetz, will join the Los Angeles law firm of Belin & Rawlings as a name partner on Sept. 1.

Badal, 45, has specialized in the prosecution and defense of complex civil litigation, particularly in the areas of antitrust, unfair competition and intellectual property.
