ATMs Didn’t Deliver
Re: “How to Survive Europe on a Weak U.S. Dollar,” by James Yenckel, Sept. 6. In his last paragraph on ATMs, he is incorrect in his information. We were in Holland, Germany and Austria in October and November, 1991. Our cards would not work in any machines. And unless you can read the language, you are not able to use them so you still have to go into the bank or post offices to get cash.
