My children have always been home schooled. I tried putting my son in kindergarten, but we were very displeased with the curriculum and all the little tactics of indoctrination. My main reasons are the basic things every child who enters the public school system has to cope with: staying at the teachers’ or the other children’s rate of progress, the parent having no choice in what books or material the child is exposed to. The whole choice issue--that’s the reason we decided to keep our children at home.
