Entrepreneur Honored: Frank E. Rivera Sr., chairman of Advanced Data Concepts Inc. in Santa Ana, is 1992’s minority small-business person for Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, the U.S. Small Business Administration said.
Rivera, 64, employs 520 people at his electronics services company, which provides computer system design and programming, facilities management and other technical support services. He will be honored Wednesday at the third annual economic development conference of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Orange County at the Airporter Inn in Irvine.
The SBA, which marked the start of Minority Enterprise Development Week on Sunday, chose Rivera from among half a dozen contenders in its Santa Ana District, which includes the three counties.
Advanced Data had 1991 revenue of $9 million.
