GREEN ORANGE: Local environmentalism gets some White House recognition today. . . . Among 55 recipients of the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Award are the Laguna Canyon Foundation and Huntington Beach Councilman Peter M. Green for his work in helping restore the Bolsa Chica wetlands. “This will help get the message out that saving the canyon is not just a parochial issue,” says Michael Pinto, president of the foundation that raises money to preserve the canyon.
