An old-fashioned style firetruck frame houses a standard-size twin mattress and features storage space for blankets or toys under the hood. It even has a pull-off ladder on the side, just like the real thing.

Following suggested layouts, parts may be traced onto 5/8th and 1/2-inch plywood. Cut the necessary pieces and assemble according to the step-by-step directions with diagrams and photos taking away all guesswork. The finished firetruck frame measures about 90 by 44 inches.
