Gorbachev OKs a Day in Court

MOSCOW —
Former Soviet President Mikhail S. Gorbachev said Monday he is ready to appear before Russia’s Constitutional Court, but not at its trial of the Communist Party.
Counsel for Russian President Boris N. Yeltsin said Gorbachev’s testimony may not be needed.
Still in question was whether Gorbachev will be permitted to travel to West Germany for former Chancellor Willy Brandt’s funeral Saturday.
