COPENHAGEN —
A lost Danish fisherman survived for 15 days on a barren island off Greenland by living under his upturned boat and eating snow, police said Monday.
After being alerted by fishermen Sunday, police went to the island 280 miles north of the Arctic Circle and found 30-year-old Henrik Carlsen. He was suffering from exhaustion, had frostbitten feet and had lost nearly 45 pounds.
