Prosecutors in the Charlotte, N.C., federal drug and money laundering trial of James Bouler charged that when Bouler flew around the nation to play in high-stakes golf matches with such celebrities as NBA star Michael Jordan, he would return to Charlotte with huge quantities of cocaine.

Bouler’s defense attorney said on the opening day of the trial that his client makes a living as a stakes golf player, not as a drug dealer.
