SIMI VALLEY : School Parent Panel To Consider Bus Fee
- Share via
Simi Valley school board members have decided to form a parent advisory committee to consider whether to charge parents for school bus rides.
The committee will report back to the board in January. School board members indicated that the fee could be implemented as soon as next fall.
“We need information on how many would actually ride the bus,” said board member Judy Barry at Tuesday’s meeting. Of the district’s 18,500 students, about 1,600 ride the bus now.
