Sale of Pemex Units Studied: Mexico’s state oil company, Petroleos Mexicanos, is studying the possible sale of its cash-strapped petrochemical branch next year, the El Financiero newspaper said. An Energy Ministry official said Pemex was studying what parts of the company could be privatized, but he would not formally confirm the paper’s report. El Financiero did not say how many plants might be sold.
