It’s amazing how the counter-quincentenarists can actually boast of “500 years of resistance.” This is something to brag about? Resistance is the very source of Native Americans’ problems. If they’d only shared the land peacefully instead of showing resistance (a nice euphemism for hostility ), we could have coexisted.

But no. Evidently they had a rule: “Red people only.” Excuse me, but what god gave them sole ownership of everything between the Atlantic and the Pacific?

A little less racism and a little more tolerance for their fellow human beings would have gone a long way toward smoothing out 500 years of history for Native Americans.
