Dentist Offers Buyout of Treats to Save Young Teeth

A dentist is offering trick-or-treaters $1 a pound for their Halloween candy.

Dr. James N. Aldridge Jr., who offered the same deal last year, said buying the treats can save teeth and maybe more.

Last year’s haul filled a 30-pound trash bag, which was OK by Aldridge. “To a dentist, it’s garbage.”
