If you’re looking for something to stimulate the senses and challenge the mind this weekend, check out “Africa Oye!,” a celebration of the heart and soul of Africa with extraordinary music, dance costumes and color.

The 40-member Pan-African troupe will appear at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Marsee Auditorium, at the corner of Crenshaw and Redondo Beach boulevards on the campus of El Camino College.

With an array of traditional music styles, “Africa Oye!” features artists who tell the story of tribal life through native song and dance. Presented by Mel Howard, this acclaimed group is on its second national tour, bringing together the magnificent spectacle of masks, costumes, rhythms and movements.
