The Ventura County grand jury on Monday indicted a Thousand Oaks man accused of kidnaping a 14-year-old Oxnard girl, forcing her to submit to sexual acts and then asking her for a date before releasing her.

Raul Oscar Alamar is charged with kidnaping in the alleged Oct. 26 abduction of the girl from a parking lot at Mandalay State Beach in Oxnard. He also faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, forcible oral copulation, rape, attempted sodomy, possession of a controlled substance and intimidating a minor into using a controlled substance, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Mark Pachowicz.

Alamar was indicted on an additional charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

According to an affidavit filed Oct. 29 in support of a search warrant on Alamar’s residence, the defendant and another man forced the girl from a car at gunpoint on Oct. 26. Over the next four hours, the two men raped her and forced her to have oral sex with them, according to the affidavit.

They also offered her cocaine and forced her into the trunk of the car while they drove around. Alamar then dropped off the other man at an undisclosed location and drove the girl to her home in Oxnard, the documents say. Just before he let her go, Alamar started crying, apologized to the girl and asked if he could begin dating her, according to the affidavit.

The teen-ager’s mother managed to get Alamar’s license plate number before he drove off, leading to his identification and arrest, the documents say. Alamar’s accomplice had not been arrested, officials said.

Alamar’s arraignment is set for today in Courtroom 32. He remains in Ventura County Jail, with bail set at $250,000.
