Irredentism in the Balkans

Your editorial is not historically and politically correct. The primary aim of the Germans’ “Drive to the East” was not ethnic annexation of adjacent territories, but territorial expansion of Slavic lands to the east. One of the Slavic lands was, of course, Bosnia-Herzegovina, which was unlawfully and brutally annexed to the former Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1908. Now the world should understand why Germany was the first one to precipitate the recognition of the disintegration of Yugoslavia and its constituent republics as “sovereign states.”
