Coroner’s Office Investigating Death of Oxnard Man After Fight
A 36-year-old Oxnard man died this weekend after being in a fight, the details of which remained sketchy on Monday, authorities said.
Victor Miramontes died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, said a spokeswoman for the Ventura County coroner’s office.
The spokeswoman said the coroner’s office is still investigating the cause of death.
Oxnard police said they are also looking into the case.
A family member who did not want to be identified said Miramontes, who lived with his parents and siblings, had been in a fight shortly before his death.
She said that Miramontes was with his girlfriend at the time and that he had some visible bruises on his body from the fight.
