Glendale : 2 Health Facilities to Open

Verdugo Hills Hospital will celebrate its 20th anniversary by opening two new facilities Saturday.
Ribbon-cutting ceremonies will be held at noon for the Beginnings Family Birth Center and at 12:30 p.m. for the new Breast Healthcare Center. The events will be part of a full day of refreshments, carnival rides, clowns and entertainment sponsored by the hospital at 1812 Verdugo Blvd.
The birth center features four new labor, delivery and recovery suites.
The breast health-care center will offer individualized consultations, self-examination training and specially trained female technologists to perform mammograms.
Saturday’s free community celebration will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m.
