South Pasadena : Vote Put Off on Hillside Law
A final vote on the city’s hillside development ordinance was delayed for two weeks after the City Council agreed on a minor change to the measure during last week’s meeting.
The council, which tentatively approved the amended version on a 5-0 vote, added language to the proposal that expresses concern for the protection of any wildlife habitats in the hillside areas. A final vote is set for Dec. 16.
The measure is designed to protect the hillsides from development of single-family homes that require extensive grading or obscure the views for owners of existing homes.
