WOODLAND HILLS : Council Settles Lawsuit Over Shopping Complex
- Share via
The Los Angeles City Council signed an agreement Tuesday to settle a lawsuit filed against the city by opponents of a high-rise complex once planned for the corner of Topanga Canyon and Ventura boulevards in Woodland Hills.
The agreement ends litigation filed by the Woodland Hills Homeowners Organization that had challenged city zoning approvals of the high-rise project to be built by Ventura-Topanga Partners L.P.
Under the pact, the builders agreed to scrap their original 750,000-square-foot project in favor of a proposal to merely update and expand to 126,000 square feet the existing shopping center on their property. In return, the Woodland Hills homeowner group has pledged not to oppose the shopping center plan, which will require minor zoning approvals by city officials.
