BREA : Drawings Held to Attract Shoppers
To attract holiday shoppers to businesses within the Imperial Highway widening project, weekly drawings for certificates totaling $1,000 began this month.
The next drawings will be Friday, Dec. 18 and 23 at the site of a 30-foot Santa Claus balloon that will move to different businesses along the construction area from Randolph Avenue to Berry Street.
Santa Claus will accompany the giant balloon and greet shoppers from noon to 3:30 p.m. daily. To enter the drawing, shoppers may pick up an entry form at any participating business.
The promotion is part of the overall city effort to minimize disruption of local businesses during the two-year widening of Imperial Highway.
