NEW YORK — Disgraced Wall Street financier Ivan Boesky is living a life of wine, women and weightlifting, supported by about $180,000 a year in alimony from his wealthy ex-wife, according to Vanity Fair.
The magazine said Boesky, 55, who spent two years in prison for insider trading, has found “inner peace” living in a mountaintop compound with a childhood friend. Wild parties and cavorting with young women seem to be the rule, it said.
The magazine said Boesky, who does not appear to work, lives in a five-bedroom luxury house in La Jolla, Calif., owned by his ex-wife, Seema, from whom he is seeking $1 million in alimony. Vanity Fair said that until the divorce is final, Boesky is receiving $180,000 a year.
The magazine quotes his secretary, Janice Rheel, as saying that working for him “makes me feel dirty. There’s stuff going on that I just don’t feel comfortable with. It’s the young girls, other stuff I can’t talk about.”
