SAN DIEGO : Few Top Applicants for S.D. Grand Jury
San Diego County officials said this week that there has been a dearth of applications from qualified candidates for next year’s grand jury.
Grand jury members serve for one year on the county watchdog agency. Members serve three to five days per week beginning July 1.
Supervisors with the Superior Court, the agency which administers the 19-member panel, said they are especially interested in receiving applications from members of minority groups.
The deadline to apply in Jan. 8. Those interested can call the Superior Court at 531-3570 for an application.
