CANOGA PARK : Health Center Plans Party for Children
- Share via
The Canoga Park Health Center, a county public health clinic, will hold a Christmas party for neighborhood children from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Dec. 18.
The clinic at 7107 Remmet Ave. narrowly escaped closure earlier this year as part of the county’s attempts to balance its budget and the party is partially a celebration of the clinic’s survival.
Last year, the first time the clinic held such a party, 325 children came--more than three times what clinic staff had expected. This year, the children will be able to meet Santa Claus and take home a bag filled with juice, fruit candy canes and a toothbrush, and a toy compliments of the U.S. Marines’ Toys for Tots program. Police and firefighters from the area also will be on hand to meet community members.
