Death of an Edition

Many of your readers, no doubt, will say they are saddened by the demise of the San Diego edition of The Los Angeles Times. I, on the other hand, am stunned. For 14 years, my mornings have centered around The Times--even more so than around a cup of coffee, which is saying a lot. Indeed, if I am out of coffee, I can always have a cup of tea, and that is a palatable substitute. If I am out of my Times, however, all other alternatives, alas, are less than savory.
