Michael Eisner

Re Peter King’s column “Michael Spells It M-o-n-e-y” (Dec. 9): Well, good for Michael! Money is the rational man’s tool of exchange that exists for productive men to exchange value for value.

Eisner is not being criticized for being bad at his job, but for being too good. What has happened to our society that we attack someone not for his failures but for his achievements? Instead of expecting Eisner to stand up and be proud, King wants him to apologize for his own existence.

Frankly, I think Eisner deserves a raise.
