Ahmanson and Soka Projects
Real-life decisions require consideration of trade-offs, consideration of “net benefits.” The Ahmanson project provides important and extremely unusual net benefits to the county and deserves your support.
None of us in our daily lives make decisions based only upon consideration of negative attributes.
Traveling to the food store causes pollution and risks traffic accidents. But it allows purchase of food.
Going to work means that we leave our children and diminishes the influence and guidance that we could otherwise provide. But it means we can feed our children and provide them shelter.
I have carefully reviewed the Ahmanson plan. This project has a tremendous long-term and permanent benefit to county residents, far outweighing the minor sacrifices that the development entails.
