* * 1/2 Lorrie Morgan, “Watch Me,” BNA. When she’s singing about hurt or anger, which is about half the time, Morgan displays the kind of backbone you associate with Tammy and Loretta in their don’t-mess-with-me prime. Key examples: the title tune and “What Part of No.” But when she shifts to being-in-love songs, she turns almost flabby with sentimentality. Stick to your guns, woman. Strong is beautiful.
