Romeo Muller, 64, writer of animated television Christmas specials such as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Muller’s work also included the popular specials “Frosty the Snowman,” “The Little Drummer Boy” and eight others. He became known to his friends and relatives as “Mr. Christmas” or “Mr. Santa Claus” because of his many holiday projects. Six feet tall and weighing more than 300 pounds, Muller with his white beard looked the part of Santa Claus. A New Yorker, Muller began his career by presenting marionette shows at schools and public libraries. His most recent work, “Noel,” premiered last month. Muller’s children’s show “Hobbitt,” based on works by J.R.R. Tolkien, won a Peabody Award. On Wednesday in High Falls, N.Y., of a heart attack.
