A federal judge in Kalamazoo, Mich., will consider whether Magic Johnson’s name should be officially added to a lawsuit accusing him of giving a woman the virus that causes AIDS.
The former Laker star has acknowledged that he is the man identified as “Richard Roe” in the lawsuit, filed in October of 1992. However, he opposes an East Lansing woman’s bid to retitle the suit with his name but not her own.
