World IN BRIEF : WASHINGTON, D.C. : 22 Nations to Tighten Ballistic Missile Curbs

The United States and 21 other countries announced a commitment to expand and strengthen efforts to halt the spread of ballistic missiles that could be used to carry weapons of mass destruction. State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said the group has adopted revised guidelines to extend the scope of the Missile Technology Control Regime to missiles capable of delivering biological and chemical weapons as well as nuclear weapons.
