President-elect Bill Clinton spent his last Saturday as a resident of Little Rock playing golf in the rain on a raw winter day.

The bad weather did not deter Clinton and five companions from 18 holes at Chenal Country Club, although he did pass up his usual early-morning jog.

Before teeing off, the President-elect gave his companions baseball caps emblazoned with an image of the new Elvis Presley postage stamp.

The golfers played through weather that alternated from a light mist to a steady rain.

Clinton will give up his borrowed quarters in the governor’s mansion and leave Little Rock next Saturday. He will fly to Charlottesville, Va., for the start of a bus trip the next day from Monticello to Washington, D.C.

The President-elect was out late Friday night, attending the Eddie Murphy movie, “The Distinguished Gentleman,” with his wife, Hillary, and a friend.
