‘Hot Property’ Triggers a Mixture of Response

I swear I think you foment these exchanges of letters from time to time between partisans of the “Hot Property” column and those who would consign it to history. Arnold Luster’s letter (“Not Into Star Gazing,” Nov. 29) is just the latest round, so allow me to cast a vote in favor of retaining “Hot Property.”

Luster makes the same mistake his predecessors do in assuming that no one likes the column because he doesn’t like it. Fortunately, The Times attempts to serve a diversity of views.
