Trade Volume Up 22%: China’s total foreign trade last year grew 22% to $165.63 billion, according to Li Lanqing, minister for foreign economic relations and trade. The $165.63-billion figure is composed of imports, which rose 26% to $80.63 billion, and exports, which rose 18% to $85 billion, Li said. The country’s trade surplus fell to $4.4 billion from $8.1 billion last year.
