Countywide : Forum on Diverse Cultures Planned
Orange County Together on Tuesday will play host to a forum on diversity, “Challenge to Orange County, Toward a Racially Just Community.”
Speakers will include representatives of the African-American, American Indian, Asian-American, European-American, Latino, Pacific Islander-American and Arabian-American communities.
The forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Newhart Middle School, 25001 Oso Viejo, Mission Viejo. Speakers will address topics including racial justice and will offer suggestions for shaping the county’s social, economic and human relations policies.
Orange County Together, formed in the wake of the riots in Los Angeles last year, is sponsored by the United Way of Orange County and the Orange County Human Relations Commission.
