Grandmothers

Across the ethnic, religious and regional divide I find my mother and her family’s experience mirrored almost identically in the beautifully written article by Elizabeth Wong (“A Present for Popo,” Commentary, Dec. 30).

I sincerely hope that Elizabeth and her generation continue to uphold her Popo’s (grandmother’s) family values as I do for my children and their cousins in upholding “Bubbie’s”.
