Israeli Expulsions

Share

I say what chutzpah in reference to your Jan. 11 article that Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin is relying on the United States to veto any sanctions the U.N. Security Council may impose because of its illegal transfer of 415 Palestinians to a snowed-in tent camp.

Israel is breaking all international laws, particularly the fourth Geneva Convention, that condemns expelling occupied populations from their land. Rabin was dead wrong to arbitrarily round up Palestinians just because they are Muslims and forcibly dump them in a mountainous no-man’s land in the winter. These men could die from exposure. What if the shoe were on the other foot and these were 415 Jews exposed to the elements during a winter storm?

It is high time Israel obeyed U.N. Resolutions 242, 338 and now 799. So long as Israel refuses to carry out orders from the U.N., other countries will follow suit such as Serbia and its “ethnic cleansing” of Muslim Bosnia.

Many of us Americans are tired of being hated by the Arab and Muslim people because we bankroll Israel’s inhumane treatment of Palestinians and Lebanese.
