GUTTING THE GOSPEL

The Jesus Seminar presumes that great historical figures are predictable, consistent in style and content of communications, and that they conform to our favorite notion of that individual’s character. That is a dubious set of assumptions.

Brave new theology? No. It’s just bad scholarship: guesswork masquerading as science.
