Volunteers to Help With Tax Forms

Share

You received tax forms in the mail and a W-2 statement, but do the big calculations seem so daunting you don’t know where to begin?

Volunteers with the American Assn. of Retired Persons are ready to help. Low-income residents of La Palma and nearby communities may sign up for a free session with Internal Revenue Service-trained tax advisers, who will help fill out the tax forms and schedules.

Tax volunteers will be available from 10 a.m. to noon every Tuesday now through April 13 at the La Palma Community Center. The help is targeted for low-income seniors and others with low incomes, but there are no set income limits to qualify for the assistance.
