Anaheim apartment manager Zoila Terrazas, who was close enough to see the expression on President Clinton’s face as he took the oath of office, said confidently: “This President is going to turn everything around.” Terrazas was one of 50 Faces of Hope guests chosen for the inaugural festivities last month in recognition of the country’s ordinary folk. Clinton first met the Guatemalan-born Terrazas in 1990, after she defied drug-dealing gang members to clean up a Hollywood apartment building. The 50 guests talked and joked with Clinton at a special luncheon, she said. “It was as if we had gone to eat with a friend,” recalled Terrazas, who said Clinton had remembered every detail of their initial meeting. Clinton told her he “needed my help,” Terrazas said.
