Panel on AIDS
So a panel of the “prestigious” National Research Council thinks the lives of those who died from AIDS were no big deal, no great loss (Feb. 5).
I think some kinds of people don’t belong on government panels making reports that affect our lives.
The truth is the United States lost both the talented and famous to AIDS. We lost co-workers, friends, lovers. To hear them called “marginal” and “invisible” makes me very angry.
