ART
The Art in Spain: Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza’s $2-billion private art collection will remain in Spain, according to news reports during the weekend. The 788-piece collection, featuring works by Rubens, El Greco, Caravaggio, Goya and Picasso, has been on display at Madrid’s Villahermosa Palace since October. The baron agreed to lease the artwork to Spain for 9 1/2 years, but news reports during the weekend indicated that the collection will remain in Madrid and that Spain will pay a token $300-$500 million for it.
