Navajo Sentenced Again

Former Navajo Chairman Peter MacDonald has been sentenced to more than 14 years in prison for his role in a 1989 riot at the tribe’s headquarters in Window Rock in which two people were killed. The term will overlap a sentence of more than seven years that MacDonald, 64, is serving for bribery and other crimes, U.S. District Judge Robert Broomfield said Tuesday.
