President to Visit Southland Today
President Clinton is flying to Los Angeles today for a “town hall” meeting at Santa Monica College.
His visit, the first stop on a two-day West Coast swing, begins with a scheduled noon arrival at Los Angeles International Airport. Tickets to the town hall event, which begins at 1 p.m., have been distributed. It will be broadcast on KCRW-FM (89.9) and KNX-AM (1070).
Clinton is to leave Los Angeles at 3:30 p.m. to fly to San Jose, where he will be joined by Vice President Al Gore to attend a private dinner with executives of a number of California firms.
