H&R; Block to Offer Credit Card: The country’s largest preparer of individual tax returns said it is joining the growing list of businesses offering credit cards. Like others, the H&R; Block Mastercard offers premiums for those who use the card. Cardholders would earn a $5 rebate on tax preparation services for every $500 they charge on the card during a year. Applications for the card are being handed out this month at H&R; Block offices in 13 states and the District of Columbia. The Block Valuecard has a $9 annual fee and a 15.9% variable interest rate. The cards are being issued by Columbus Bank & Trust of Columbus, Ga.
